The Wishing Tree is located on in The Palazzo on level 2 near the entrance to The Palazzo guest suites and The Sky Garden Lounge.
This is a free experience to walk or sit around, take pictures and make your virtual wish.
As part of the rejuvenation of the luxury wing, Grand Canal Shoppes teamed up with San Francisco-based specialty fabricator Gizmo to bring an enhanced experience to the iconic destination. Set at a towering 20-feet tall, the magical Wishing Tree sits as the centerpiece of the luxury wing. The Wishing Tree is a sculpture that resembles an olive tree adorned with 37,000 brass leaves and beautifully colored hidden glass birds in the serene Italian garden-esque space.
Though it is an awe-inspiring photo moment, Grand Canal Shoppes has partnered with local immersive technology company Lumen & Forge to elevate the beautiful piece of art with a special AR experience that brings The Wishing Tree to life. As guests approach the stunning tree, they are welcomed to scan a QR code on their smartphone, speak a wish into an Instagram filter and watch as their wish nestles into the golden canopy of the Wishing Tree’s crown.
