Renowned baker Buddy ‘Cake Boss’ Valastro has opened his first restaurant inside Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian and The Palazzo, partnering with veteran restaurateurs Elizabeth Blau and Chef Kim Canteenwalla, to bring a taste of Valastro’s family gatherings and beloved heirloom recipes to The Strip. Offering new twists on Italian-American classics and family favorites such as Valastro Sunday Gravy, Steak Pizzailoa, and Lisa’s Capellini Shrimp Scampi, the Buddy V’s menu will also stay true to Buddy’s baking roots with timeless treats such as Bomboloni, Cannoli, and the Buddy’s world famous Lobster Tail Pastry.
Christmas Offering: At Buddy V’s Ristorante, guests can enjoy a delicious prix fixe menu this Christmas Eve and Christmas Day that includes roasted butternut squash soup with apple-squash compote, spiced pepitas panna dolce ($12); slow roasted prime rib served with whipped parmesan potatoes, roasted brussels sprouts, and smoked bacon horseradish crema ($38); and a gingerbread trifle with cranberry and phyllo cup for dessert ($12). Buddy V’s has also debuted its winter seasonal cocktail, Sicilian Sunset, made with Tito’s Vodka, POM Juice, Alchemist Apply Spice, San Pellegrino Blood Orange, blackberries, and rosemary leaves ($12). New Year’s Eve Offering: Buddy V’s will be welcoming in the New Year with a specialty prix fixe menu available at $65 per person. The menu will include lobster bisque served with Buddy V’s oyster crackers, basil, and lemon zest ($15); slow braised beef short rib with truffle mashed potatoes, glazed baby carrots onions fritto, and natural jus ($40); and a sweet chocolate trifle served with champagne strawberries ($12).
